Community Gardening
Anathoth is a little different than other community gardens in that we are located in a rural community and don’t have individual plots that people work on their own. Instead, all of our life together in the garden is shared because we believe tha it is good for the health of our community to learn and practice teamwork, patience, generosity and good listening skills from working and eating side-by-side. Growing community is just as important as growing lettuce, strawberries or tomatoes.

Additionally, we are a chemical free garden. We grow everything “organically,” practicing sustainable farming methods for the health of the soil, our food and our bodies. There are no sprays, no tractors, and no chemicals at all to worry about because most of the work is done by hand and by mother nature herself.
